1. Ferris Beuller’s Day Off
This timeless movie is entertaining for even those who don’t have a care in the world about cars, but nobody can deny how nice the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder SWB is. It’s heartbreaking when the car is driven out the garage window, but also a trivial moment in the movie.
2. The Big Lebowski
The Big Lebowski is a hilarious movie depicting “the dude”, who drives a 1973 Ford Gran Torino. Now that’s a muscle car.
3. Thelma and Louise
The 1966 Thunderbird in Thelma and Louise is probably the last thing that’s on your mind in this dramatic movie, but it is quite notable at the end of the film, flying off the cliff in a heart-thumping final scene.
Grease, the unforgettable movie that people around the world adore singing along to, shows Thunder Road (Leo’s) car – the 1949 Mercury Custom. The flames along the side of the car are smoking hot, as is every time Leo burns out of parking lots smacking his gum.
5. Starsky and Hutch
This classic show transformed into a movie is famous for not the many cop cars, but the bright red and white-striped Gran Torino.
