In 1928, Julius Lowenthal founded Colibri and quickly boomed to success due to the huge demand his products attracted. After inventing the semi-automatic lighter, Colibri manufactured a fully automatic “Monopol” lighter which had an advanced acceleration system. During WWII, their “Stormgard” lighter were supplied to the soldiers protecting us. The infamous “Golden Gun” from the James Bond movie “The Man with the Golden Gun” was made from Colibri’s “Molectric 88 lighter”, a cigerette case, and a fountain pen. Colibri has been in the background of history all this time proving they make one of most reliable lighters available since day 1.
