I had the blessing of having one of these beauties a few months ago after it had rested in one of my humidors for about two months. I didn’t have a strong desire for Full blends so I smoked this Prensado with some trepidation. I was however, rewarded with one of the most wonderful smokes I have had to date.
The arresting smell during initial light up was enjoyable to the max; The burn was as close to perfect as I have experienced and my times with Padrons comes to mine in this respect. The initial third of this gem gave me a wonderful mix of earth, wood and a spice like flavor I can only describe as near perfect in mixture.
The second third brought forth a slight nuttiness with leather and earth; I was still enjoying this beauty and it really opened up my Pinot that I paired it with.
The final third let me know it had some muscle with it’s spiciness perking up along with a nice but not overwhelming nicotine hit and the wonderful earthiness it started out with.
One of the most interesting cigars I have ever smoked and I have smoked some of the best ever.
A great price for a great cigar; it has become one of my standard in my humidors.
A cigar that everyone who smokes cigars must have at least once and they will be happy they did.
The Prensado in robusto is a jewel for the ages.
